Brain Yoga

This 30 Second Brain Yoga Exercise Really Does Make a Difference!

This short exercise, one among many “brain yoga” exercises, can be done throughout the day to improve memory and brain power.  It involves holding the right ear lobe with the left hand and the left ear lobe with the right hand, then bending your knees as you do three gentle squats.

Although many of the brain yoga exercises involve mental challenges (like listing the alphabet backwards while tapping your right knee three times then your left knee three times) this particular movement involves one simple physical activity,.

If squatting is physically difficult,  sit in a chair and lean over. The squats themselves need not be deep, difficult or impose any strain on your physical body.  Most people notice marked improvements in their brain function when they take brain yoga seriously. By seriously I mean doing this short 30 second movement as many as  20 times throughout the day.

When do you do the movement? My recommendation is this. Every moment you have a memory lapse, stop. Do the movement. See if that lapse in memory does not resurface.

It only takes 30 seconds at most to do the movement and best of all is a free, effective therapy.
